Unemployment eligibility?

I got fired from my job as a bank teller because my cash drawer was short 500.00. I live in NJ. I was trained using a computer to enter denominations so I could accurately give out cash. The day of the shortage the computers were down, it was busy and somehow I came up short. Can I get unemployment? I feel if the computers were working or an alternative method was offered I wouldn't have been short.
