Where did all the plums go?

this winter i got super into plums, i LOVE them and ate them like every day, but starting a couple weeks ago (mid May) there aren't any in any of the supermarkets anymore. like i've seriously looked at every supermarket in town (Peterborough Ontario if it makes a difference). does anyone have any idea why there arent any plums anymore? maybe there's like a shortage or something? waaah
